Trouble connecting Lovense Max2 with Quest 2

I'm following option 1B in this guide and I'm getting stuck on step 5.

I wasn't abled to connect to the Max 2 in SLR interactive app. I also tried to connect to it via settings but I could only see my Max 2 but not pair with it.

My Max 2 and Quest 2 are both up to date.

I can connect my Max 2 to my phone and control it manually with the app (on IOS 15.2.1 iphone 11) but it won't play the scripts. I've made sure that my quest/phone are connected to the same network + band and that cellular is turned off. The blue interactive icon in SLR is also on when I attempt to play a video.

So for future people, I resolved the issue by sideloading the new app on my oculus. I still wasn't able to connect via IOS.

The part that I got stuck on (because I'm not familar with android and new to oculus) was that Haptics Interactive is in xapk format in the apkstore. All you need to do is sideload the apkpure app and then download Haptics Interactive via the app.
