I personally struggle with having consistent angles because we’re always shooting with different male talent, in different locations with constantly changing furniture, and then different female model body types (shorter girls have different tilt angles than taller girls.)
What I try to keep consistent is the distance from base of dick to center of lens, and distance between lens and female talent during upclose shots.
Again, different heights change things; taller models have longer torsos so sometimes camera doesn’t match up to eye height as normal so you now have to figure how to adjust bodies to make distances match for comfort of viewer as well as talent.
Every day is a different challenge, and without being able to preview shots in headset on the fly, it becomes guesswork and measuring to the best of your ability.
With the trend of 100% eye contact, best solution would be to attach the camera to the female model’s head and point it straight at her face, since it’s the only thing people care to see ¯_(ツ)_/¯

No I totally get it, VR is a different beast and it's tough to keep angles consistent when your dealing with different talent and studio settings.. And by no means do I want "just the face" lol not saying angles are a huge issue I just like the shooting style of CVR where the face/eyes are always centered down/up towards the cam but the body remains in view consistently in every pos through each scene. But you are right they do sacrifice the setting with there scenes to shoot consistent spots/angles.. Which imo makes you stand apart.. The setting is always fresh and different.. Really just comes down to limitations of the hardware itself atm like you said.. It's a give and take. Just wanted to point it out

In my experience, your scenes are not the ones with this issue. It's imho only the Nash/Redstar videos that almost always require a zoomed out setting for certain positions like cowgirl if you want to see something. Close-up stuff from them is hardly watchable at all. I almost never have to adjust a VRfanservice scene though, they're ok.

I think your angles are mostly good. Every now and then I come across something that may be a bit too close to the camera - I mean when they are having sex, not when they are leaning towards you or whispering in your ear which is a good thing. I would love it if you guys leaned more heavily into intimate scenes. For me, the more genuine and personal a scene feels, the better. When I consume non-VR porn, it is almost exclusively amateur porn; professional porn doesn't do anything for me because it feels so fake, formulated, impersonal, and over the top.
VR can offer an unmatched sense of intimacy by placing you in the scene. It's such a special feeling when the model gets close to the camera, but not enough is done to capitalize upon this. It has been improving, though, with the advent of positions like close missionary.
As a note, I know that close-ups have issues right now, like the cross-eyed thing, but it actually doesn't bother me all that much. I still get the feeling of being close, and I'd rather have that than pull the camera back and forfeit that feeling. Just thought I'd voice my opinion on that, I can't be the only one who feels that way. It will be nice if the 6DOF thing works out, though.

I think you guys have done an excellent job in terms of lighting, which is important. Especially in scenes like "Baby it's Hot Inside!", "Worth the Wait", "As Seen on TV!" and "Sexual Alchemy: Divine Healing". The soft lighting is great, it helps a ton with immersion. Bright, full-white lighting is a sure-fire way to make something feel fake, so please continue to avoid that.
When it comes to audio, ASMR-style binaural is the way best to go, though I think you're already there with it, just need to utilize it more. As a quick aside, I personally love hearing how wet a pussy is, so if this can be incorporated at all then that'd be awesome.

plonk A very good post indeed. The only thing I disagree with is the lightning. Not a big fan of the scenes shot in darker settings, because often the colors look off, and the shadows have a great chance of ruining the scene. That is not to say they cant be done, for example the massage scene with Melody is god-tier. More often than not though, its sometimes hard to see the girls eyes properly in certain positions like cowgirl, if the scene is shot with not enough light, or it comes from wrong angles.
I think the censorship in JAV porn is a blessing in disguise for vr porn, as it has made the directors to pay attention to different things. I think you're already doing a good job of the girls playing with other than just the stuntguys dick, but I think there's still plenty of room to improve if the girls played more with the camera and the guys body. The biggest mistake in threesomes for example is if the other girl is just sitting there while the other is doing the action. In quite a few cases they're also moaning along with the girls being fucked, which I guess is a trait that comes from 2d porn. The longer it goes on, the more annoying it gets.
Generally I would just say the more the girls show their personality the better. If the scene is just moaning and screaming "fuck me" on repeat, it usually ends up being an average scene. Of course there are differing opinions and some guys just want to see the girls being fucked "pornstar style" , but I think looking at the stats, the more intimate and memorable the scenes are, the better ratings they get.
I also agree that audio is massively underrated aspect of VR porn. By doing whispering, breathing etc and having it as close to ASMR as possible is a much more effective way to improve a scene than adding a few more pixels to the scene and file size for example. I understand there are some things you have to take into account, like the fact that the guy doing the fucking has to breathe also, but I think thats a problem for all you studios to solve 
glansie thanks! Someone mentioned that the seated part was a tad close and I tend to agree. We lined the camera up with the male performer for a passive head tilt with medium slouch, but it might’ve been more comfortable with more slouch to increase the FOV so Haley’s boob wasn’t all up in your eye for most of that shot.
I also went from standard seated bj distance to closeup, which I thought might garner some umbrage but no one said anything so yay I guess!
