The removal of some fringe categories is not the end of the world for me - life goes on - the thing that gives pause for thought is something more serious which will take out a massive amount of content - for example raising the legal age for porn stars to 21
Some videos are being removed for compliance purposes
abcrebel abcrebel At this moment we just need to clear things up for everyone. I'd wish there would be a public standard we could make sense of. I do also recognise that porn might go wrong if done inappropriately. Viewers should have a clear understanding one should not move things watched in porn into the real life.
We are just at the beginning of the exploration of different compliance codes. Making clear rules for everyone would be our first step in that direction. Everything is possible to handle with the right approach. We will lead the freedom in porn as long as we stay on the positive side of things.
Just going through the comments.
There's no way around for compliance. We just have to do it for the better.
Crypto is not helpful at all. Not only it's not reasonable to drop credit cards processing, but crypto billers are a subject to compliance themselves. Nor it's not only processing that requires compliance. If we want to be treated right we have to be compliant, that's it.
Yet we do our best to make sense of it and offer our creators a clear picture of where things stand.
I can envision feel a lot of great things happening as we are connecting with more cool people to bring things to the next level.
Thilus All good.
We are definitely looking for ways to push our agenda and protect the freedom.
Atm we are trying to make sense of compliance. All the time we were working under presumption that all the SLR content is fine as it comes from producers we trust and we have checks in place. Now we are required to formally comply. Because there's not a single rulebook we have to make sense of everything on our own. The matter is time-sensitve and we are doing the best we can to get things right.
For the moment it's important that everyone understands what's going on. There will be more news as we progress to make sense of it.
dexter313 The best point ever ️
I do think though that Hollywood faces a ton of regulation as well. There's a ton of regulation in place from everything that comes to mind.
This one is really funny https://www.theatlantic.com/culture/archive/2021/09/how-hollywood-sold-out-to-china/620021/
lIlllIIl ironic people complain about JAV censorship when everything else is censored in an even more restrictive way
Really great comparison. Otherwise in Japan porn is strictly prohibited. But if it's censored and approved by ethics committee it's not considered porn anymore.
Another thing is that penises and pussies have to be censored, but not the asshole. Shttng aka s*at (don't want SLR to be indexed for these words) is perfectly fine there ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Not only Japanese porn companies have all the freedom doing business as they are, but also DMM/Fanza has direct PayPal processing and Playstation store app ¯_(ツ)/¯¯_(ツ)/¯¯_(ツ)_/¯
Isn't it awesome?
LordCrash I'd really like to know the specifics about that one once you have the information you seek since it's one of my favorite kinks and it has imho NOTHING to do with the rest of the stuff discussed here (forced sex, rape fantasies etc.).
Looking indeed to for more details. Chances are high we should be able to get it back.

doublevr Don't forget that Hollywood also sold out to the military industrial complex. People usually don't know that the US military is very generous giving Hollywood people access to military equipment and locations for movies FOR FREE - as long as the US military is only shown in a good light without any real criticism involved (that also includes stuff like superhero movies etc...)
You want to shoot an anti-war movie that portraits the US military and its partners in the private sector in a less favorable light? Well, you won't have access to any military tech whatsoever and you get pretty much black listed.
Maybe that answers the question why many US movies and TV series just ooze that "I'm blind on both eyes patriotism"...
LordCrash One example is "Paysafecard"
It does not allow adult billing directly, thus we have to use accredited third party for that
LordCrash That's why I think it should be a joint effort of the big porn companies. Talking nicely to the banks doesn't help at all. You need to hit them where it hurts, their profits. If the whole porn industry turned their back on credit cards the banks would probably notice that in their books - and it might lead to them reconsidering their take on censorship and gatekeeping...
In reality porn is such a small market that often tries to go under the radar. It was big some two decades ago, as there were barely any other online payments, but today it's nowhere to what Amazon on any decent non-adult processing generates. There're some few niched billing companies in the market working for adult, but it's nothing near PayPal, Stripe or anything that comes to mind.
There are so many misperceptions of adult industry. I'd wish there would be more common sense around.
Also it's mission impossible to get porn companies to agree on something. Like MindGeek/Pornhub are piece of garbage that has exploited the industry for a decade. Others aren't much better.
With SLR we try to move things to the next level. We are connecting people for common good. Atm we are looking to explore the situation and come up with a framework for the community.

doublevr Atm we are looking to explore the situation and come up with a framework for the community.
Alright, it seems like you're doing everything you can to make the best of the situation and everyone involved, talents, industry people and customers alike. Thanks for being open about these things and thanks for communicating the details of this fucked up situation and for sharing the specifics about how you plan to deal with it with the community. I will let you do your thing now and simply wait for the framework you mentioned and any further information you can provide.
There should be some sort of tag or identification on videos that are planned to be removed. This would help the subscribers to download the liked originals.

So what about videos people bought directly (not using subscription)? Are you going to refund people or what is the deal here? Because it's one thing to have a subscription and have some part of it taken away, but completely another if someone paid for something in full and it's taken away.

It's impossible to track the videos once you get more than few of them. I actually tried to figure out which videos I bought to figure out if some of them were not taken away but it's impossible. All the emails I've gotten were regarding payment and they just have money values and do not contain any info about bought content. There is no history of purchases in user profile... So even if you'd taken away something it would be difficult to determine what that was. I'm sure you can understand my frustration with the topic.
badman666 There is a purchase history on the site:

Samsonite121 Obviously... but if they remove a video how do you know it does not dissapear from there... Anyways I consider the question answered so we can move on from this particular subject.
Suggestion: While you're in the process of updating for compliance and perhaps re-branding to a sexual wellness site, you might consider refraining from the use of the word "slut" in video titles to refer to women. Yes, it's great to toss around the term during dirty talk, but context means a lot, and my experience is that most women find it a bit degrading until after they are warmed up (at which point it seems to turn them on). Putting in the titles might not be the best idea.

doublevr This is def something I want to keep an eye on. I'm in the process of starting my own studio. And I 100% want to shoot pissing videos. Also have a series planned out that evolves around drinking/party games lol. If I can't put it here, I respect that. Don't mean I won't shoot and sell it though.
Hell to really piss some people off. I'm going to buy a bottle of jack, a nun's outfit and find a alley somewhere..
