  • Avast Anti-virus warning. Did something change on SLR?

Did something change on the SLR website? I am getting URL:blacklist warning from Avast popping up. Just started today.

Same thing here.
I was wondering why the site doesn't show any preview pictures of vr scenes... Now when you mentioned it, I checked my Avast Antivirus and there is thread block listed "cdn-sexlikereal.com"... "infection on the site URL:blacklist"

Same.

I was wondering if SLR was hacked and parts of it infected. Either that or its a false flag and something on SLR OR Avast changed causing antivirus to be suspicious.

AVG gave me exact the same info
"infected by URL:Blacklist" I couldn't download anything for three days now.
Annoying. 😠

I had the same problem using Avast. AVG uses the same engine as Avast so that was not an option. I wanted another highly rated FREE antivirus so I installed Kaspersky Security Cloud and now everything is fine.

I've submitted a report for a suspected false positive to Avast. Hopefully it's just nothing. If it is a false positive they'll remove it from the blacklist. It isn't impossible that parts of the SLR website were infected with some form of malware, so I recommend caution until this is resolved. Browse at your own risk.

Getting the same problem too using Avast Premium. Really need this issue fixed as it makes navigating the website impossible!

Hi every one!

First, it's not a virus! So you can put your mind at easy about that.

There are services on the internet that provide blacklists. Most of this is automated. One of these flagged our CDN domain for a reason still unknown to us and are currently investigating. It just happens to be the case Avast uses this list. I don't personally use Avast (AVG), is there some whitelist setting you can add [*.]sexlikereal.com to? Can any one try and share results? Does disabling AVG help?

We will fix this ASAP, but it is not entirely in our hands. These blacklists don't look for viruses. They look for 'suspicious behaviour'. Something must have triggered it. It COULD be. I'm just speculating, repeated connection attempts to the Handy syncing server getting rejected. Pretty much at the same time these AVG issues were getting reported they were having an issue with their syncing software too.

Feel free to check for yourself on VirusTotal: https://www.virustotal.com
you can search just sexlikereal.com or the CDN is cdn-vr.sexlikereal.com

You can also check with Google's transparency report: https://transparencyreport.google.com/safe-browsing/search?hl=en

My security software is also not reporting anything out of the ordinary.

Doesnt work for me even when I add the site to whitelist. It lets me navigate to the home page now with no warnings but as soon as I click on 'VR Videos' I get the warning pop up and it wont even load the thumbnail image of the videos

Rakly3 Got it to work now thank you, probably me being an idiot...I was adding sexlikereal.com which didnt work, I then added the CDN domain part to it now works fine.

        xxxscottyxxx Nice!

Just a question if there is anything wrong with the forum. are you not seeing the [*.] part I wrote in front of sexlikereal.com? Or does it not work?

Rakly3 Sorry, the (.*) does display I just didnt understand that I needed to add that part and was just adding sexlikereal.com which wasnt working but as I said I added the CDN part of the domain and it's worked fine since

xxxscottyxxx yeah the cdn-vr. works too as that is what was being blocked.
[*.] just means sexlikereal.com AND anything that comes before it. Which includes the cdn too 🙂

AVG let us know the issue is fxed and to perform a manual update in case you are still experiencing issues.
            Manually update Virus definitions.

Can confirm the issue has been fixed...I removed the address from the whitelist and re tried and now have no issues. Thanks for getting the issue looked at and fixed so quickly!
