  • StasyQ Videos Dark Issue (it looks to be a color grading / output issue)

If you look at the last 5-10 videos of StasyQVR, you'll see all the comments are complaining about how dark and unwatchable the scenes are, yet there has been no response by StasyQ themselves.

However, I think the issue is not how it was filmed, but it seems like they are forgetting to add their color treatment on all their most recent videos.

I say this because I noticed one video in particular, I thought there was an issue with misalignment when I watched it in my headset, but then upon downloading the video, I can see that one eye was color treated (right), and one eye was untreated (left), probably by mistake:

So my guess here is that, all these recent StasyQ videos people have been frustratingly complaining about (including me), is actually likely due to a output / rending mistake. Perhaps the colorist or editor forgot to add the color adjustments on the video files.

Because StasyQ is not responding anywhere (maybe they don't check comments), can someone on SLR staff please ask them about this? @doublevr @Philip ? It would really be helpful!

g2kbuffetboy Unfortunately there is no person in StasyQ who could take a lead with that and fix the ongoing issues, our help can only stretch as far, if footage comes in poorly lighted there is not much to do to save it

Philip Thanks for the response Phil. But I don't believe the footage is poorly lighted. One lens is graded, and the other isn't. This should be all solvable in post (on the Stasy Q end). I really enjoy their scenes and this is so frustrating that they are letting a dozen scenes (and counting) completely unwatchable...

Philip Today's StasyQ's scene has the same issue (in reverse). Left lens is graded. Right lens is not. That's like... 10 scenes in a row now...

I don't think anyone at StasyQ necessarily needs to take the "lead" here. I think someone just needs to inform the editor/colorist of the mistake, and correct it.

Thank you very much sir for taking time and actually looking into source file. Its really appreciated. Should be pretty easy to brightness/color match both lenses for myself to actually enjoy these scenes. As for issue remaining to be present in 2022 my only guess is that stasyQ (as any other producer) record/edit in advance and just release already finished videos per their "planned" release date. Thats not an excuse in any means as they can delete, fix and re-upload in their own free will... but decided to ignore it completely. This is extremely startling beginner error on the end of who-ever is editing the source and shameful for anybody involved, considering they have to watch the final product at least once to validate.
In one's right mind i cant imagine responsible person editing/re-rendering footage after post-process and straight up hitting "upload". Rending of 4k+ videos take plenty of hours and every single video-editing studio have live-preview to see the end-result live while editing, previewing and even final rendering.
Even i watch my own videos after rendering multiple times checking for errors, frame blending or any other adjustments... if your videos are actually "sold" to people this must be top level arrogance.

There's no better way to loose your paid customers by showing comtempt towards them in ignoring legitimate complains.Any company which have been told/shown their products are defective and still keep churning them out regardless says a lot about their lack of professional ethic and pride.
I used to enjoy their video, but have stopped watching them now.I am glad to see StripzVR is catching up fast while stasyQ is caught napping.

Nearly EVERY scene by StasyQ is unwatchable in the past 6 months.

And I'm not talking about it just "being dark." That could be a creative decision, or up to one's own interpretation.

BUT THESE SCENES ARE LEGIT OUTPUT INCORRECTLY. ONE EYE IS COLOR GRADED AND THE OTHER EYE IS NOT.

For goodness sake, can someone talk to StasyQ??? Are they that stubborn or oblivious to this fact???

          5 days later

g2kbuffetboy Do you know what program they use to create their videos? (normal ones, not VR)
          Premiere, Davinci or Final Cut?

You should really see the comments on this video: https://www.sexlikereal.com/scenes/beauty-routine-27647

StasyQ used to be one of my favorite studios. LOVE their models and content... but what is seriously going on?? Nearly a year of piss-poor unwatchable scenes and they don't seem to be doing a damn thing about it...

Can you inquire with them? Are they aware that everyone can't stand their videos anymore? That they are completely unwatchable?

Really frustrating - I wish they would listen to these comments. The vids are terrible to watch, which sucks cause the scenes are incredible

I believe that we've tried reaching out before, and for whatever reason(s) they've decided not to act on it. Not my place to say why since I don't know.

If anyone hasn't already, you could consider reaching out to them directly to request they address the issue: https://www.stasyq.com/faq

Latest video with ArianaQ, wow. Super cute, and very tight bod. holy hot she’s tight, holy tight she’s hot … and … the scene looks decently lit 😃🥳

Perhaps the dark age over there has finally come to an end?

argyle43 Perhaps the dark age over there has finally come to an end?

I sure hope so. Their models are out of this world, and I love the style of their vids. It's just a shame more than half a year's worth of scenes ruined by production or post production issues.

Here's hoping the fix is here for good.

I was just about to make a new thread on StasyQVR scenes being overexposed a lot, but it's clearly related to this ongoing issue here...

g2kbuffetboy Sadly I don't think it has anything to do with color grading, I think they simply have a large discrepancy of light exposure between the left and right eye cameras, where the right eye gets way more exposure than the left. I have to wonder if they're even editing with both eyes in view because even on a regular monitor the difference between the eyes is very noticeable.

On darker scenes it will appear as if the right eye looks good because it gets more exposure, while on brighter daylight or outside scenes it will look much better on the left eye because it gets less exposure while the right eye will be overexposed.

Two recent brighter scenes that are so overexposed parts of it are completely white resulting in loss of detail:

StasyQVR.22.12.29.Intimate.getaway-KillerQ - Overexposure is very obvious in the hammock details and the right side of the couch; left eye has decent detail but the right eye is overexposed with full white parts. Can't even make out the cushions on the right. The difference between the left/right eyes is so large it is very jarring watching this video.

StasyQVR.23.01.06.Bathing.beauty-PatriciaQ - Both eyes are overexposed and details are lost. But again as you can see on the leg and chest, the right eye is way more overexposed than the left eye. Water droplets seen on her leg on the left eye are completely washed out in full brightness on the right eye. Lowering brightness or contrast in DeoVR has no effect, there simply is no detail to show in those overexposed areas.

I have now also send them a message through the contact form but please SLR if you could also again try to to convince them that they need to re-calibrate the brightness/exposure between the left and right eye cameras. It's likely caused by a different aperture or ISO setting on each camera/eye when they should be identical. IMO they should even calibrate for each scene depending on how light/dark the environment is. Considering how well everything else is done in their videos it's so strange they have not been doing this for so long.

Here's the imgur album with the same pics/details as above to send along: https://imgur.com/a/FbJWdd6

I have always complained about this to them and since I also owned the K2 pro and am familiar with the camera I bet they are not setting both lenses the same during some of these shoots, its really easy to have different apertures on each lens and not notice it also the iso can be managed independently if not setup correctly. Color profile also could be different in each lens. There is a way to sync most of these settings between each camera but if they are not paying attention they can easily overlook it. Its one of the things i hated the most about that camera. I'm willing to bet they probably had a slightly different aperture or ISO on each lens for them to be that way off on some shoots.

metichemsi Yeah I figured it was something like that. Sadly it's been an issue for over a year now and pretty much every scene suffers from it to some degree. It's a lot more noticeable on very bright or very dark scenes.

I really hope they get this resolved soon because I really love their VR scenes, but some just get ruined with the under- or over-exposure.
