Hi every one!
We've been getting a noticeable bump in speed and buffering issue reports the past couple of days. Many services have been having issues which impact every one. It is especially hard right now for us to tell whether an issue is on our side, the user's side or external.
Here you can see many ISP's, DNS resolvers, and communications are having a larger than usual problem report rate right now.
These are some major ones, but it is not limited to these.
- Spectrum, Verizon, T-Mobile, Xfinity (Comcast), COX, CenturyLink, suddenLink, iNet, WiLine, Mediacom, Google, Frontier, etc.
- And a very large one: Cloudflare; Best known for DNS 1.1.1.1
It is not because your ISP specifically isn't listed that it can't impact you. Just to name a few, Verizon and T-Mobile have subsidiaries. Communication providers offer infrastructure for the ISP's. -- The best way you can test for yourself is to run an Ookla/speedtest.net test with a node close to you. See if you get below expected speeds. IE I should be getting 900Mbps+ from nodes in Belgium and I'm "only" getting about 300Mbps right now.
Script issues and Oculus Browser issues are not related to this. Please contact us
