I bought a new second generation Gear VR in Feb. 2018, and it is amazing. I then bought a new samsung VR controller and they pair without any problem. Then I found the SLR app WOW!
I put it down for a few days and when I connected the phone nothing happened.
I contacted Oculus support and allowed them to remote into my phone, S6, they found nothing wrong, started a "ticket" and passed the info along to Tech Support.
TS suggested uninstalling , in a specific order. I did that
I reconnected the phone to the Gear and reinstalled Oculus and Gear VR.
I connected the phone to the Gear to somethiing and Nothing Happened I just stared at my home screen until it went to sleep/black.
Contacted TS and they suggested returning the phone to original settings.
I did that, with the same results.
After several re formats, uninstalls an reinstall TS tells me they think its at the USB connection. Hows that possible if I can reinstall the apps?
So in an attempt to salvage the Gear VR, I installed the "cardboard for gear vr" app and the cardboard app, then the SLR app. This allows me to view SLR as if I was using Google cardboard except that the control pad isn't responding.
Do you have any ideas
