The new video icons

On each video page, there are now three icons which have replaced what formerly was text: Info | Downloads | Photos.

This may have seemed like a good idea at the time, but in reality it is now an extra click just to find out who's in each video, and what the tags are.

I think it was fine how it was. If you won't revert, will you at least start the screen with Info expanded, please?

This just seems like a pointless change which has reduced functionality (reminds me of what Microsoft or Adobe does each time it "updates" one of its programs, which just involves breaking something that was fine as it is).

BobbyBadass I agree 100% and I also brought up the issue in another thread. I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't like a design that has a worse usability than the previous one.

This came up in another thread and the response was basically that it was designed for streaming users, not so much for download users, and "tough luck" since the majority of their users stream.

But yeah, I completely and totally agree. When I click on a video now, it is just really bizarre and aesthetically unappealing having literally no information on the scene other than the title and producer. But is what it is I guess.

Experienced computer users find ways of doing things where, if you add in a click where before there was none, you may well have exponentially increased the time taken for a task. E.g. on this site I open 20-30 videos in their own tabs rapidly using middle-click, then Ctrl+Tab through each tab quickly, looking for what I want. Before, the info was right there in each tab. Now, I have to move the mouse and click a tiny icon to get the info.

Now, you are gonna have a lot of computer nerds using this site, simply because it's the type of audience this material attracts. 🤓 So please consider people who actually know what they're doing when making design decisions, rather than catering to the lowest common denominator. 😊

Also, think of any time Microsoft moved something in Word or Excel to make it "easier" for users, completely destroying experienced users' workflow. I am sure you have experienced something similar.
