Adding script bundle to existing members
allofthe9 And the issue I have is when I click upgrade now to pay for this, it immediately sends me to an Epoch page that says "Sorry Your attempt to upgrade did not go through, please contact customer service." It doesn't ask me for credit card information or anything. It just takes me straight to that message when I click upgrade now.
I had the same issue. I contacted support, and the problem was that I cancelled the auto renewal of my subscription. So I had to go to epoch.com and reactivate the subscription, then I could upgrade to the scripts bundle.
I hope that helps somebody with the same issue.
Crowley thanks a bunch for this info. I think that might be it as I did cancel auto renewal when I had signed up for my membership initially. Will give it a go.
Rakly3 Just noticed this has been added as an option for me.
Can I ask though...... When new members join it's an extra $10 to add scripts. But for me it's an extra $20.... why is this?
I know I've got a coupon code for my monthly subscription, bbut to triple the price to add scripts is crazy
gumbo6969 this seems to be the case, which is very disappointing. Previously, all of the talk was about a $9.99 add-on, which is why I think people became so interested. It seems that only applies to full priced memberships. All others are basically brought up to paying full price by a costlier "upgrade". It also appears to have no way to revert to your precious discounted rate.
All of this has been very disappointing, from the communication to the roll out of it.
It is still a good value overall, but the current offering is very different than was earlier communicated.
Seems like an excellent deal to upgrade an annual discounted subscription.
I now have free scripts for the remainder of my current subscription (7 months), and then it added $80 C after tax for the next year of scripts (so like under $7 per month for the scripts).
Rakly3 is it correct that the upgrade eliminates your current discounted rate, essentially bringing you to the normal price ($39?) For a monthly subscription once you add it?
Pretty important update!
Users who have a monthly subscription that started prior to May 2021 will not be able to upgrade. These users will have to resubscribe!
Hello. If I want to upgrade my older pre may 2021 account to scripts, do I have to cancel and then sign back up to not lose my account and purchases??
Is there anything you can do for subscribers who cant take advantage of the discounted scripts bundle because they have to wait for their subscriptions to expire in order to resub with scripts? Seems like the annual bundle discount will expire today and I have to wait until september 9 to be able to sign back up.
Rakly3 I hate to sound negative but this whole thing has been a huge mess for any existing customers. Whether it's having to lose all discounts, not being able to upgrade, the extra Billings/payment issues, is there not some other way to go about this?
I'll happily drop $120 through a separate payment if you can just add a year of it to my current account, or I'd even buy the scripts individually if you can throw a 50% off code to current subscribers.
The idea sounded great at first but has seemed to become just problem after problem since. If it's just not ready yet, I get that, but it sounds like it's just been a lot of "ok try this", didn't work "ok try this" for the last couple weeks.
I'm not planning to upgrade to scripts anymore because the increase (after losing a discount) is too heavy and not an easy process (cancelling, resubscribing), but I imagine there has to be another way?
Maybe even just a magic token I can buy for X amount that enables all scripts, or a 50% off code for script purchases to help offset the price of just flat out buying them?
Again, not meaning to be negative since I know you guys are working on it, but how long is everything going to take?
I’ve also sent a message requesting more info on this. I subscribed for a year yesterday not understand that the premium plan didn’t include this and there doesn’t seem to be a way for me to add the script subscription to my existing plan.
Evolewtion I'll happily drop $120 through a separate payment if you can just add a year of it to my current account, or I'd even buy the scripts individually if you can throw a 50% off code to current subscribers.
Would have to apply a discount to something that doesn't exist yet. But I get your frustration 100%. I am always passing on stuff being said here, it's not like we are not listening or hearing you. If the solution you propose would be possible, we'd be ding it.
Rakly3 appreciated. It seems there should be something that can be done for existing users that would also generate some extra sales and revenue towards SLR. Every time I buy a script, I get a prompt to enter a discount code (I don't know if any exist?)
Even something like a 25% or 50% off discount on all scripts until this is figured out. A code or otherwise. Or even a bonus when topping up (like the 5% it applies over 50).
I've ended up in a spot where I've bought many scripts already and am on the fence about buying more since it would essentially be a waste to drop $50 on 10 more right now when there's a possibility of an unlimited plan coming.
I imagine more money can be made by selling scripts separately, even if they're sold at a discounted price temporarily. Hell, I'd even pay $10 for a 50% discount on scripts for a month.
Current users are just in an odd spot where we know this plan is out there (scripts Bundle) but either can't access it or would be paying 4x as much as their current bundles. There's no real middle ground or alternatives.
