  • New search on SexLikeReal

Search on SexLikeReal has been significantly improved by switching to in-house engine based on elastic. Our goal is to help users find what they are looking for. The number of active unique users who use the search has grown by 22% after release.

Currently search works on the next objects:
- studios;
- pornstars (by name or alias);
- categories;
- scenes (by title or id);
- playlists;
- blog articles.

Important features to mention:
- fast redirects;
- autocomplete;
- language analyzer;
- phonetic analyzer;
- handling of typos.

We have recently updated the search and now you can find:
- pornstars by their height and / or weight. Metric and imperial system can be used.
For example: 180cm / 5ft 11in / 50kg / 100lbs.
- models from VR Cam Girls section.

In March we will release advanced search with support of Boolean operators and following parameters: producer, tag, performer.

I tried searching by weight to see how it works. I wonder how it is calculated. I put 100 lbs and got many of the same as when I put 108 lbs or even 115 lbs. does it search by a range surrounding what you type in? I noticed similar with the height.

    dazmaster we convert the imperial system to the metric system and then search for the range +-5cm and +-5kg.

    100lbs = 45kg, 115lbs = 52kg, the range for 100lbs is 40-50kg, for 115lbs is 47-57kg. So you will see pornstars with the weight 47-50kg for both requests.

            The search function hasn't worked at all for me for quite a while while using Firefox on PC. I click on the magnifiying glass icon and it opens a box that I can't enter anything into. In fact, the page basically becomes unresponsive, so I have to refresh the webpage just to get the main homepage back, though I still can't search. Has anyone else encountered this problem? I think search works ok on other browsers and platforms, but Firefox is my preference.

            Can I suggest a new category for search? I would add "ginger" for natural redheads. It is hard to find natural redheads on your site as so many entries under the redhead tag aren't. See the ginger subreddit.

              dazmaster earlier it was possible to use 180cm, 5ft 11in, 50kg, 110lbs in the Search, and it showed models with such parameters +-5cm and +-5kg. Now you can do the same or use additional operators:
              < less
              <= less or equal
              > more
              >= more or equal
              = or == exactly equal
              ! or != not equal
              ~ or ~= roughly equal (+-5cm or +-5kg)
