Starting a simple BYOJ 3.0 project

doublevr

We’re planning a simpler version of BYOJ that lets you put together your favourite parts of different videos arranged into a compilation.

All you need is:

Enter a video ID.
Add the start and end timecodes for the sections you want.
Keep adding sections timecodes from the same or other videos.

You’d also be able to program all player settings at specific timecodes, including zoom, tilt, and horizontal offset, etc along with sex toy scripts.

The current BYOJ editor feels too complicated for this. We’ll continue developing the more advanced editor as a separate product, focused on fully interactive experiences using AI prompts to turn videos into native gaming experience.

Let us know what you’d build and which controls matter most.

It is so hard to follow SLR timeline for development and reasoning. First you deprecate the old and working BYOJ cos it is too old for more fancy features. About 8 moths you had nothing to replace that. Already that decision felt stupid.

Then you publish BYOJ 2.0. It lacks the basic features 1.0 had since day 1. People call it too complicated to use (it is not). Nearly after 3 months from BYOJ 2.0 beta version you decide that SLR will plan to do more simpler version (sounds like same old BYOJ 1.0 you made obsolete). Does your right hand know what your left hand is doing?

Although my first impression was that BYOJ is too complicated the more you use it the easier it gets. Everything you said can be done with this new BYOJ 2.0 with just matter of minutes. You just need to make better tutorial video. Do not waste time and money to start two projects. Invest your efforts to develop this BYOJ 2.0 better and better. The forum contains all the things to tackle for.
