Almost every button in DeoVR leads to "No Videos Found"

fizzknee

Toggling any buttons (pov/non-pov/female pov/8k/120fps/immersive flat/compilations/japanese) just goes to a page saying no videos found.; "no videos found, try changing search conditions/back", it even hides the entire UI until you hit back. This is intermittent, the buttons SOMETIMES work and sometimes go to that page.
That includes every navigation attempt (favorites/byob/
Rebooting on Quest 3 did not help.
Clicking the main Videos page deletes the UI and says unable to load content/try again, then gives videos (whatever was shown before?) with no UI on the left. Everything is very ... broken.
This.. is completely unusable. I don't know if this is a recent deovr update or a server issue, or if there's a way to clear settings/... for Deovr?

fizzknee

It improved after a while but didn't go to fully reliable

AlexSLR

fizzknee Can you please try reinstalling the app and check if it helps?

fizzknee

AlexSLR I looked again today and I can't repro the problem anymore [did not reinstall]. I'm guessing some temporary server issues and/or network issues (between me and server?)... where DeoVR doesn't handle some errors gracefully. When there's genuinely nothing found it does it right (UI is still available, just empty search)

AlexSLR

fizzknee If the issue occurs again, please let us know 🙏

fizzknee

Happened again just now. I reinstalled the app and that didn't help at all.

fizzknee

Don't know if the in-app Deovr (quest3) bug log works here, but I clicked it
Settings=>Bug Report => send log file for bug report => ID Assigned: 19395

I've found out how to repro (and work around) reliably...
if you pick on any 'video' in https://www.sexlikereal.com/byoj and click "play in VR" [Using web/firefox if it matters], it won't play (NONE of those byoj "movies" exist on the deovr version of sexlikereal.com). AND then it causes thsi problem and it's sticky...
"fixing" it happens when you click on a REAL video and click "play in VR" e.g. from https://www.sexlikereal.com/scenes/trending

so there's related bugs here..

None of the "videos/journeys/..." in https://www.sexlikereal.com/byoj are playable (none of them are in the list/can be found in byoj when IN the app) -- App calls them "Interactive Videos"
Not only are they not findable, but you can't play them by using the "Play in VR" button
If you DO use the "Play in VR" button it corrupts DeoVR app version of sexlikereal until you do that for a "valid" video.

fizzknee

Note that the "corruption" survives reboot as well as reinstall of the app. I believe setting some form of corrupted "video"/thing to play (remotely) corrupts things and KEEPS it corrupted until you have a valid one overwrite it.

fizzknee

I suspect any invalid video (one that's been deleted/blocked on the app but not on the website) will cause the same problem

AlexSLR

fizzknee Thanks for such a detailed report! We've forwarded it to the developers to investigate.
