DeoVR Hyper Cursor slow / Weight

Its hard to describe however I want to know if this is expected, and if so how can i turn it off. When I am in the new app the cursor has a weight to it, or like a delay to the input i give. It is moving but its just like slow, almost as if the cursor is in molasses. Is this expected? Can this be fixed really kinda sucks imo

jay22111 Please clarify: does this occur throughout the entire time the app is in use, or only at system startup, when updates and controller synchronization are taking place?

Also, please specify the exact version of the app, as well as your headset model and the firmware installed on it

AshSLR I've noticed it too. I have a Quest 3 and the pointer is significantly slower than in DeoVR—it’s quite annoying, especially when typing on the keyboard.

AshSLR The entire time, I have the latest build available on the metastore. Ill get the exact version when I am next to the headset, however all versions of this hyper app have acted like this. Guess I should have said Quest 3 as well..

@AshSLR have you noticed it when using the app? A good comparison is heresphere it doesnt do this at all, or even the old deovr app.

jay22111 The developers checked the current app version and a few previous ones, but the cursor has worked as expected.

Did they try to use the metabrowser or other apps like heresphere? When even compared to old deo its just slow. I am not sure how I am going to be able to pull a video showing this.

AlexSLR There isn't much to explain; it's slow compared to Deovr. It’s just like with any operating system: if you want faster cursor movement, you simply adjust the setting. There is something about the way the new application is being developed that causes this.

AlexSLR I dont think so, its about the movement required, and the 'weight' behind the movements.

AlexSLR No, I’m using a good internet connection. In any case, it’s not a huge issue; the pointer just feels sluggish compared to DeoVR. I get bored with a scene quickly, so I tend to cycle through scenes back-to-back—adjusting settings, watching for a second, and quickly moving on to the next one. That’s when I really notice the pointer lag.

AlexSLR Now that I think about it, I like consuming content quickly: I watch a video, and if it gets boring, I move on to the next one; if it holds my attention, it’s a good video—kind of like using TikTok.
