100v60Mbps streaming cap, 40Mbps SLR Originals

doublevr

We checked the latest 20 SLR Originals 8K streaming files resulting in 40.28Mbps max out and 24.27Mbps average with 60Mbps variable bitrate encoding cap.

Pushing it to 100Mbps would result in additional bandwidth:
1080:~ +56%
2160:~ +73%
2880:~ +72%
3840:~ +76%
4096:~ +36%

It's really visible for BlackMagic 16K as well as Apple Vision Pro. Potentially 100Mbps streaming cap will result in cca 60Mbps downstream.

We might offer 100Mbps caps streaming and download files for additional service fee (Premium Plus or something).

Make sure to use Wi-Fi 6.

I'd definitely love that. Right now I'm downloading everything because of the quality difference with the stream. The difference is quite big on the Galaxy XR.

even on quest 3 the quality difference between stream and studio quality downloads is huge.
Basically streaming is not an option now

Why only now? People have been asking for higher quality for streaming for years...

Kolaches

al7 is that why I feel SLR visual quality has gone down in recent years? I always thought it was something with camera settings or post production

As much as I hate VRBangers as a company, their visual quality is unmatched right now. I really wish we could get that look over here

Kolaches just download the studio master versions here. Videos with about 100Mbps bitrate and higher than that look really good
