slrp007 Hello, I think you should do something about this. There is some video that started to appears to be 90 fps native and they are very laggy on Quest 3... this is unplayable at 4096p. Is it off limit of what the hardware support at 90 fps? I found it appears to work fine at 3840p but I didn't watched a full scene at 90fps@3840p yet. What I think you could do : Limit the resolution to something the device is able to decode while streaming. Offer that encoding as a "Quest 3 optimized profile" to download, similar to what you did with Oculus Go back in the time. There is currently no 90fps file I can download that work on Q3. Well, I could download the 4k file but that's is a too big downgrade. Deo should automatically switch from 120fps to 90 fps when playing a 90 fps native file. I'm not an expert but I think this is not helping, but this change alone is still not enough to make it working fine at full resolution. AlexSLR slrp007 Hi there, Thanks for reporting. The developers will check everything. By the way, do you have the same issue in the Hyper app?
bazzio This is exactly the same problem i have with the same files, and no stuttering on 3840... with me it's the same in the Hyper app.
AlexSLR @slrp007 @bazzio Quest 3 can decode up to 8K@60 FPS, so the 90 FPS scenes will freeze on the headset.
slrp007 AlexSLR Well, there is a 3840p option available to streaming but unavailable to download. Why not offering that profile to download too for 90fps video for Quest users? Would be very useful 🙂 Thanks.
slrp007 AlexSLR The file is already transcoded, it's avaialable in Deo. Not sure how it could drastically change anything. Probably just a boolean to change in a database.
AlexSLR slrp007 The file is available for streaming. Creating more files for downloading requires additional resources, not just a Boolean to change in a database.
maxsavage AlexSLR I know the 90fps is on the thumbnail and in the video specifications, but sometimes I miss these cues. Would it be possible to add a 90fps flag to the 8k download button for these types of videos?
