if streaming make sure to choose highest quality file and mode (h264 will lock you to low res)

When rendering "resolution" is set to 2.0, "sharpen" should be set to 0, otherwise the frame rate will drop significantly. In case you prefer a sharpened image over higher rendering resolution, then "resolution" should be lowered until you reach a frame rate that's good enough for you. I think default rendering resolution is 1.35.

For "refresh rate", I use "match".

Heresphere himself recommended 1.75 res and sharpen between 1.5-2 for most videos before on discord for best balance of performance (and battery) and quality. He did say 2.0 res is not worth it, the higher you go the less difference it makes.

I think I'm gonna try this for a while. But in my set-up on Q3 (stand-alone, not PCVR) fps drops from 120 to 90. Do you know if this is to be expected? Not that it matters to me, I'm not seeing any difference but I believe others would.

dolphin7559 I didn't notice, but then again I don't notice the difference between frame rates like others do. What would you recommend for refresh rate instead of "match", 120 Hz?

SchnuppiLilac I need at least 72hz or the flickering is too noticeable. That isn't very smooth for 60fps video, so depending on other settings (mainly resolution and sharpening), I use either 120hz (preferred) or 90hz (compromise).

Appreciate the responses guys, tonight I'll try messing around with the resolution and sharpness and see what looks good for my eyes. I just wasn't sure what number to set the sharpness and resolution to but you guys gave me a basic idea of what to try.
