Try WebView to navigate content in the Hyper app

We're excited to share a new feature we've been working on — WebView — and we'd love your help testing it before it rolls out to everyone. 🚀

What is WebView?

WebView is a built-in browser that lets you open any website directly inside the Hyper app — no need to jump to an external browser. It's designed to replace the current grid as your main content surface.

Don't worry — videos still play through the Hyper internal player, exactly as before.

How to try it

Download Hyper app from Meta Store
Apple Vision will be available soon
Open the app and find the address bar above the grid
Type slrweb and press Enter
WebView will launch — start browsing!

We want your feedback

We're especially interested in:

Anything that feels broken, slow, or confusing
Features you'd like to see added
How it compares to using the grid day-to-day

Reply to this thread with what you find — screenshots and recordings are very welcome. No report is too small; even "it worked fine" is useful to us. 🙏

Kieshi Had a quick look:
Cams didn't seem work in web view.
Website zoom level settings are locked (I might want to decrease the percentage).
URL field is locked (I might want to modify the page number in the URL field for quicker jumps, like from 1 to 100).
The regular page navigation on the website is too narrow (< 1 6 7 8 9 >). I'm old, and with increments of two at best I may not live long enough to reach page 100.

Kieshi Trans & gay sections are currently completely unusable in Hyper webview. Clicking on a video thumbnail in those sections either does nothing or starts some random video from the regular section. This doesn't happen on desktop browser.

Kieshi Another thing I noticed in web view: When in a scene info section I click on the performer name in order to see all their scenes, this doesn't seem to do what it should and I just get back to the feed as it was before.

Will there be a day slr is no longer available on deo vr and we'll have to use hyper?

I used it yesterday
Is it always going to be in web mode? before the update when I first open it it would open up with deo but in mobile vr mode, now since it's in web mode I really have no camera controls, only zoom in zoom out, I used slr and same issue there too, no classic deo controls, I didn't see any options to custom the controls...

But I will start using it more if the deo app will be no longer available at some point 😔, I hope everything works just like deovr, when I used it last time I'm pretty sure the deo website was working like normal with the controls and pass through, but after the update its in web mode.

But I will open it up more to test it out 👍

I used the hyper slr, it's in web mode, the videos play fine, pt works good, but i can't tilt it, it just allows zoom in zoom out, but on the meta web browser "enter vr" version there a lil icon on the player that allows you to move the images up or down. I think it has dome rotation but very lil, I need too look at that again, but can you add that to the hyper web version too if that's all that's available for now for moving image...

And I can't find a quik to home button in hyper, example when it opens up its at deo vr as home page, if I search slr and go to the web site I can't find a quik to home button unless I keep hitting B then I go back to home...I'll use it more but thats all i got, picture quality looks fine to me 👍

What's the advantage for moving to this hyper from deovr for y'all?

In hyper at slr website, if I click on a video it just opens up in vr, i can't get to any comment section.

But having no tilt for up and down really kills it, using the home button to re-center images doesn't really work well, if I'm laying and look down at my lap and hit recenter it lowers the image to much not lining up parallel to my body,

So there's that. 🤷‍♂️

I was switching between different file size and saw no difference especially with the 1400p. All files look the same, I tried 3 different videos got same results.

Id say the app is fine if the viewer is just watching vr, but if you trying fuck in your own bed room, have a virtual threesome with a partner or sexdoll, or enjoy some povsolos using pass through this not there yet, let's hope it gets there soon 🤞
