Cant get VP9/LAV Filters to work

Hello,
for the raw videos the SLR app directs me to a github to install LAV Filters, which i did. Restartet my PC and still can't play em cos it still says i need the codec. Do i have to configure something after the installation?

Microsoft Store says that i got a VP9 codec installed, maybe its only for the windows player.
I got a gtx 1080, does that matter?

There are no videos on SLR that use VP9
You need the HEVC codec

hamstere I was testing some unrelated things and I think I know what's wrong in your case.
In the settings, turn off Unity Player.

I see, thank you. Gonna try it. HEVC unfortunately didn't work.

hamstere It's the only place I ran into an error containing a reference to VP9, and our player doesn't support it.

To bad, still doesn't work. Unity Player was off already. Tried with it and Direct Show.

Can you try playing the video in Movies & TV?
(could also be called Films & TV depending on your windows update.)

It comes already installed with Windows 10.

Films & TV doesn't work. Other, smaller 50GB files work. I'm gonna download the file again. Maybe it got corrupt.
It's Fifty shades of Blossom btw. The Original 5k h.265 65GB file.

hamstere Great to hear you found it!
When you ever run into an issue, and the file also doesn't play in Films & TV, then the issue isn't our app either. (I'm not saying we won't try and help 🙂 ).

I'm having this problem too on all of the 200 and 220 fisheye videos in original resolution. When playing with anything other than directshow I get a VP9 error, but I've installed LAV filters and done all of the fixes with the klite pack, as well as the HEVC codec. The files also throw an error if I try to play them in movies & tv, so clearly it's something on my end, I just can't figure out what. If I play the videos using directshow, they play in slow motion and frequently skip frames. Any ideas? I've tried doing all of the fixes I can think of.

As a side note, this also happens on any top/bottom 360 degree videos.

It happens when I try to play local copies of the 200 or 220 videos from slr originals or stasyq. Not sure the resolution, whatever is native for quest 2. GPU is 1080ti cpu is ryzen threadripper 1950x

BeardedBaker If you installed klite you most likely installed MPC too.
Do the videos play with MPC? can you check your CPU and GPU usage while doing so?
( CTRL + Shift + Esc , then go to the Performance tab with the charts)

No, they'll start to play but the video and audio are out of sync. Then eventually the video will start to skip and the audio will get distorted.

cpu is only around 3-4%, GPU at around 30%, when the distortion and skipping starts GPU drops to nearly zero.
