Hy, is it just me or the refresh rate is stuck at 72hz ? when i switch to 120, it doesn`t do anything. stays on 72

Hello, switching to a higher refresh rate should make motion smoother. Could you please clarify, when you change it to 120 Hz, does it actually show 120 in the settings, or does it stay at 72?

I've noticed the same. I use Quest game optimizer as well and almost every other video it goes back to 72. 80, 90, and 120 are options but the fps counter within the Deo app barely ever goes back 80 and at the 90 settings the frame rate seems really poor. I feel I have to play a lower resolution than the max as well for a better experience as far as frame rate, especially with passthrough.

AshSLR Hy, its like its stuck on 72 and can`t change it. if i try to chose any other refresh rate it will not change. They show up, but nothing happens when i click on them.This is recent, maybe 2-3 weeks. was fine before. Tried to change resolution, video source, same bug, stuck on 72 Hz.

This 72hz is a known issue and has nothing to do with Deovr. It is Meta throttling the hz because of heating issues with the Q3.

Try and turn your Main brightness down in the Q3 settings. You will quickly get used to the lower brightness. Also, having Sharpness in DeoVR on anything other than zero can greatly effect the fps/hz.

I have my brightness at around 40% and select 90hz in DeoVR for a happy medium and im able to use Sharpening this way. I do use Quest Game Tuner though...

Edit: your internal fan is probably dirty causing overheating... that's why its a new issue for ya...

I dont want to be rude, but what kind of mushrooms you are all eating? This is not definitely true and sounds BS.

I have owned Quest 3 (with bigger memory) since the release and never heard this kind of fault. You could have always changed your refresh rate using DeoVR. Previously it was DeoVR fault not to achieve 120 hz if changed sharpening. Actually no matter what parameter you adjust it made Quest 3 fps to drop significant using DeoVR. But that was year or few ago.

Now DeoVR is almost in par with HereSphere considering video adjustment and fps. If you are using sharpening and passthrough, then 120 hz will actually lower fps compared to choose 90 hz. Sounds weird but that's how DeoVR works 🙂 Heresphere handles 120 hz and sharpening way better.

My Quest 3 version is 2.1.1034 and everything this topic contains sounds so weird for me. Never encountered that.

I really doubt that. Everybody has V85 update or even newer. Please read my previous post. Are you really saying that my Quest 3 behaves differently? I use it without face cover and with Bobo Vr S3 strap brightness set to 40%. Never goes from 90 hz to 72 because of thermal throttling. Can play 120 hz smoothly.

It is all about DeoVR because HereSphere works way better in passthrough and 120 hz... Maybe some sort of bug and should reinstall DeoVR. For me this kind of explanation and "answered" -tag sounds comical.
