Improve/replace low resolution option

The 4K files are larger size while looking worse than others’ 6K scenes, it would be nice to have a 6K scene at <20% of the 8K instead.

Example:
Video length: 40:02
6K: 2,07 GB
8K: 21 GB

That’s less than 10%! The difference in quality is minor, and miles better than 4K

I know you have like 69 other things to fix first so put it low on the list

adinihsan It's all there already for streaming, just not everything has a download link.

What you can expect at SLR in terms of file sizes (scene 80815): 8K Master 62 GB, 8K (4000p) streaming 8.2 GB, 2880p streaming 4.7 GB. So you already have downloadable 8K at <20% of the original 8K.

SchnuppiLilac I'm not even talking about the master, that size is even more ridiculous haha. And yeah the point was downloading, size doesn't matter to me when streaming 😉. The vid you linked is surprisingly small tbh, in comparison the scene released before is double that at 15+ GB for 1 hr (81236)

Also I believe VRB doesn't offer the originals? So the 21GB is also compressed already if I'm not mistaken.

adinihsan the 21GB is also compressed already

It's the highest quality they release to the public, 75 Mbps is the usual bitrate at A... If A... was on SLR, the same 21 GB file would be called the 'Studio Master'.
