Flickering and blank screen

nonya

It's been a while so I don't know when it started but when I fire up SLR I can sometime see the dashboard but there's constant flickering and tearing. Eventually it goes all black. Tried rebooting the headset, cleared browser cache.

JordanSLR

nonya, what headset do you have?
Does it happen when you watch SLR in the standard headset browser?
Have you tried accessing SLR via the DeoVR app?

nonya

Standard browser? I'm launching it from the standard browser if that's what you mean. Everything else works fine. I've tried a bunch of other vr apps and SLR is the only thing with the issue. I haven't tried DevoVR.

gorevision

the same is happening to me, Occulus Quest 3. With Deo app works fine, in browser doesnt work, hace to reset the headset and it never works.
This is happening since 4 days aprox

JordanSLR

nonya, please try the DeoVR app. What's the OS version on your headset?

gorevision, can you please also check the OS version of your headset? If there are any updates please install them.

I am having the same problem. If it loads, it flashes, then if I click into a video, it's just a black screen. The browser then crashes, as I get message do I want to wait or close browser. Something is broken. This is Meta Quest 3. There are no new updates. This is specific to the website VR feature for sexlikereal, other sites work correctly.

most times when I click to enter VR it goes to black screen.. only sometimes it goes to flashing vr video screen.. the controls are slow. It's like there is a script running on a loop or something causing this to occur. I am guessing there is a coding bug in your VR scripting on the website.

AlexSLR

socalguy Please specify the exact firmware version on your headset.

socalguy

AlexSLR Meta Quest Build v2.1 (is that what you're looking for?)

socalguy

AlexSLR Also the DevoVR is not very good, filtering content is limited, adjusting the screen is difficult, etc... I prefer VR viewer the version directly on your site.

JordanSLR

socalguy, please check if there's a software update available for your headset

Grimnul

I am experiencing this as well. Already reported it to support via email and am currently following up with them. Just wanted to add my voice here. Something’s definitely borked somewhere.

SchnuppiLilac

I was using the SLR Hub in the Quest browser the other day (not sure if that's what others mean when they say they're using the website). I did not have any issues when watching videos but when browsing through the grid view page by page the grid sometimes stayed empty (empty thumbnails, titles were all named 'undefined') until reloading by going to the next page and then back.

JordanSLR

SchnuppiLilac, what's the OS version on your headset please?

socalguy

I tried again and it seems to be working normal now.

AshSLR

socalguy Thank you for the reply. Please keep us updated if the issue occurs again
