Server Issues? Way to track server status?

Hi,

Over the last 24 hours I seem to be encountering serious issues with the servers using DeoVr on Quest 3. A lot of server errors are popping when doing simple things like checking comments, etc.

The biggest issue of all, scripts seem to be breaking. Suddenly The Handy would no longer receive scripts from SLR and you would get a "retrying" message over and over until it simply stopped trying.

I factory reset the handy, full rebooted everything, fully wiped and reinstalled Deo, nothing seemed to fix it.

The issue did seem to be on SLRs end as any other service or site I have was working flawlessly in this regard. It was even reproducible in HyperDeoVr showing that it seemed to be an SLR exclusive issue.

Bluetooth as a backup was just completely non-functional. Just zero response in any way, at least with WiFi mode it was retrying over and over and failing.

Any info would be great thanks, also is there a website where I can track the server status of SLR?

flrxbx4020, could you specify what errors you saw?
Did you connect the Handy toy directly to the DeoVR app?

JordanSLR Thanks for the reply.

Errors:
“Object reference is not set to instance of object”,
“Server returned no response!” And a dead face with X eyes under the message.
“ Trying to resend script” - and this message would spam over and over till it just gives up.

It’s very spotty, comments won’t load at all now and then, scripts will start working again for a bit and then for no reason stop sending again.

Handy is connected to DeoVR directly with WIFI, Bluetooth just doesn’t work with when SLR is in this state. Handy on latest Firmware.

Also is there a site to check the status of SLR servers and services? As it does seem to be on your end. As I confirmed by factory resetting absolutely everything, other apps / services working perfectly while these issues with SLR will be occurring identically across DeoVR and HyperDeoVR, thanks again.

flrxbx4020, thanks. What's the current version of the OS on your headset?
There is no a separate website to check SLR status; in case there are any major issues we always share the info on the forum

JordanSLR Thanks also. Running the latest, version 2.1. Also on desktop I went to download one of my 1 of 3 monthly scripts I can download and it threw an error the first time I attempted, similar to on the headset. Second time it downloaded okay. I guess it shows there must be some issue coming from the server, serving these files. Thank you.

flrxbx4020, thank you for the update. There should be a newer version of the Meta OS (v2.1.1034), it's rolled out partially -- please update your headset as soon as this version is available for you.
We will take a look at the downloading errors

JordanSLR Thanks Jordan, cool I think that's the version I had even before submitting this issue, I updated 5 days ago. v2.1 is the public-facing version name under Meta's new versioning system, while the ".1034" suffix is the internal build number (carried over from the old v85 numbering). I'm seeing people who were running 2.1.1034 on Build 5194302.5050.520, while I'm actually on Build 5194302.5620.520, an even newer one.

JordanSLR Yes, the issues are intermittent, but don't seem to be fixed. The majority of the time it seems to continue happening. Cancelling sub due to this sadly.

JordanSLR Sorry to respond so late, but yes a speed test is perfectly solid. Gigabit speeds.
