First off, I think SLR is great. I have paid subscriptions to a few individual content providers but SLR is, IMHO, the best bang-for-your-buck subscription out there.

Here's my question: Is there ANY reason why I would want to use the dedicated SLR app rather than DeoVR? I'm not in any way trying to deter people from using the SLR app. When I was using the Quest 1, I was originally using the SLR app. I believe there was a short period of time when I couldn't update it via Sidequest so I switched to DeoVR for my SLR subscription, and never switched back.

Since switching to my Quest 2, I just stuck with the DeoVR app, and after the recent update, I am very happy with it. It just seems simpler to use a free app from the Oculus store than sideloading one (even though sideloading is surprising easy).

Bottom line ... I just want to make sure I'm not missing out on any quality/functionality but not using the SLR app.

      it's the same player, isn't it? In addition, the updates are done at the same time; the slr player is interesting if you go to the site for streaming; otherwise once the videos have been downloaded, I use the deo player

      dunno if this is the same question but I do notice on the sexlikereal.com website on my pc i have a lot more options on the left side such as MY SCRIPTS, MY COLLECTIONS, etc. I dont get that on the DEOVR view on my gearvr, is there something I'm missing here, or any way I can add those into my view on my DEOVR?

          Just for clarity, is the official word that there is no difference between the SLR app and DeoVR? If I just use DeoVR, can I expect it to support the SLR service as good as the SLR app? It's confusing that there are two apps.

          On my Quest 2, it's so much easier to use DeoVR. SLR requires manual installation and updating through Sidequest.
