More passthrough AI issues

Multiple videos coming out recently having passthrough issues. Either no passthrough available at all despite showing the icon for it, or not having an option to remove male. Some videos the option is there but does not work. This is NOT an all inclusive list - I can’t possibly watch all the videos and remember which ones are fucked - but maybe others can add faulty videos in this thread as well.

Hide penis option does not work (also seems to be an issue with all new virtual papi releases. At least the pov ones, I don’t bother watching the non pov ones because I’m not a cuck.

SplineVR - all new recent videos start off ok right after you play them but the a second or two later the passthrough goes wildly out of sync

From your own studio - no passthrough option at all. And I saw this was already brought to your attention more than once.

Also, last I checked the videos I mentioned several months ago have not been fixed yet either.

Please fix - I finally bit the bullet and started paying for premium rather than buying videos à la carte, and was very disappointed to see that the quality control isn’t being done to make sure all features are working for all videos on release.

Yeah. The remove male has been an issue for many videos the last few weeks. SLR via DeoVR is long overdue for a drop down menu to report common issues on each video. Coming here sometimes has results, but reporting through a headset is not a viable option.

JordanSLR just bumping this thread since it’s been a week since your last response, and I’ve seen new videos come out since that also have broken passthrough (can’t remember which off the top of my head)

Kehowal837 Long story short - AI PT has been fixed for new releases.

We’re now starting to re-transcode the backlog, and scenes will get fixed as those videos are processed. It will likely take a few weeks before everything is fully updated.

Don't think this is true. Among the latest six in my feed two still have issues. AI PT is there but the show penis/hide male options are missing.

For what it's worth, i am finding odd quirks of some scenes that i used to find perfect at 77% zoom now have change to 100% zoom - Not a massive issue in itself.

Also the FOV option seems to be broken, the + or - don't work for me and also if you go above a certain level, it has an opposite affect at a certain point - Not a major issue for me as zoom seems to be have the same desired affect.

... but i've also noticed a few times that the new 'HLS Format' seems to have a lag on the Ai Passthrough compared to AV1 - Hopefully the AV1 format for purchased scenes will not be removed as i understand AV1 may be deprecated going forward - Hopefully this will only be for all newer scenes and not those previously purchased.

It doesn't matter about newer releases as i just won't purchase them, but scenes i've already paid for is a different matter entirely as i purchased them due to their Ai Passthrough quality.

doublevr by transcoding will you also update the AI PT on old videos? The newer videos have better AI PT. If yes, which ones will you update AI PT on first?

buerosolo for selected videos. we are going through the whole pipeline to make sure things work well.

we still keep updating PT AI algorithms with some major updates coming soon before it will be good to re-do most of the library. will keep you posted

doublevr Anyone know if this means Twisted Games with Thea Summers and Della Cate is fixed? If so I’m excited for tonight! It was still not fixed last night for me. Don’t have the ability to use my headset right now

doublevr Looks like multiple people are agreeing that some new releases are still coming out with broken AI PT. Is there a reason you thought it’s been fixed? I’m a bit concerned because this is not the first time I’ve been told an AI PT issue was fixed when it hadn’t been, and this feature is legitimately the only reason I pay for premium.

Kehowal837 we fixed variable framerate issue, but there are also some others affecting newer scenes.

Support team was given instructions to localize each reported issue.

We are reviewing the pipeline and optimizing workflows to make things work.

Something like this:

Debug / Test Pipeline

Complaint → reproducibility check
Make sure the problem can actually be reproduced.
Logs from the headset (alpha PT plugin)
Check:
• PT version in the logs
• if the version is old → regenerate PT (also starting complete back-log regeneration)
• Unity logs
• if references are missing → check whether generation in ML was successful. If yes → pass to backend.
• FPS on the device vs FPS in ML logs
If FPS differs
Possible causes:
• different framerate
• variable framerate in the master file

Check the file used for generation and the streaming file:

If variable framerate → re-transcode streaming files (CFR) (fixing backlog)

If FPS differs from what’s shown in the app logs, check the video trailer FPS as well (there used to be a bug where trailer FPS and video FPS could get mixed up, though it should be fixed now).

Previewer check
Check the file in two modes:
• MP4
• ***

If *** behaves differently or doesn’t work → send to ML.
If *** cannot be decrypted → likely an issue with the key or filename → send to ML.

Streaming file check
Check the streaming file in Previewer (MP4 + ***) and make sure the streaming file matches the file used during generation.
Problem localization
Identify where the issue occurs:
• generation
• file
• streaming file
• Previewer (*** / MP4)
• device

This would significantly improve how we handle these issues.

doublevr I appreciate you taking the time to type all of this out. I understand that this is a complex issue and won’t have an immediate fix.

However, I do want to point out that the problem is actively getting worse. I put on my headset this morning to watch the new SLR originals release with Annabelle blue and I noticed that the passthrough is completely out of sync. The last two non-PT releases, the one with Della cate and Thea whatever her name is and the newer one with Molly little don’t even have a PT option.

After doing more digging, I noticed that EVERY SINGLE VIDEO RELEASED THIS MORNING IS BROKEN. Some have out of sync PT, some have no option to remove the male, but regardless, it’s happening more and more frequently. Which is concerning because you guys said it was fixed for new videos.

You guys seem to release between 15-25 new scenes every day...
Why a SLR employee cant check the AI PT for each scene on a Q3 is ridiculous. It would take them less than 30 minutes per day to check ALL the scenes and noting the ones with any issues. Relying on users complaining on this Forum is bad business.
