Btw I did get a helpful reply from Jordan confirming the options available so I don't have any issue with SLR support, just that I'm unable to meet the current requirements for verification. As mentioned above, I do have a legitimate ID in the form of a UK passport which I'd hope would be sufficient.

Honestly at this point just get a credit card, check https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/credit-cards/how-do-credit-cards-work/ to learn about them

There will be more services in future that'll require ID checks that you can use a CC with

You are incredibly naive wanting to share your passport for ID checks on websites, that info is supposed to be very guarded! With a photo of your passport people can and will impersonate you, taking out lines of credit and ruining your life

I'd argue it's a very bad idea showing your face as an ID check, that info can also be used for nefarious purposes

In case getting a credit card is not an option or too much hassle, you can find external 1080p webcams for less than 20 quid on UK Amazon.

jommy Thanks Jommy, I completely agree with you and yes perhaps I'm a bit naive. A few months back I used ID to verify age for Youtube so I guess I've already put myself at risk...

I'm sure it's pretty easy to obtain a CC so will look into that.
