downloaded videos are all distorted

shyzen

Hi, I havent downloaded in a long time as I prefer streaming but since the UK age verification I am having trouble streaming due to my vpn so decided to download a lot of videos for the first time in over a year.

In a total of about 18 videos everyone was faulty, no mp4 vids would play even though older mp4 would and all the other videos were all distorted, like the old room of mirrors in fairgrounds, all out of proportion.
I tried all the video settings but to no avail.
thanks

forgot to say this is on quest 2

This may be due to the fact that SLR stopped following the naming convention for downloadable files. Older files work because they are named in a way that lets the player use the right settings automatically. See here how it works: https://deovr.com/app/doc#naming. You can either rename manually or adjust the settings in your player.

shyzen, what videos did you download?
Do you use the DeoVR app to watch the videos or the native headset player?

shyzen Q2 doesn’t support AV1 files. Pick the H265 version instead.

shyzen Can you please specify whether you downloaded videos with the AV1 codec?
