Most StasyQVR originals are playable, but there are a dozen or so that have relatively very high bitrate. You need an SSD or really NVME drive and capable GPU, etc to see the best quality of those. Worth it if you have higher end tech, or for when you upgrade in the future, but for now, yeah, you'll have to reencode it as suggested, or just also download the reencoded version SLR already provides. You'll be missing some fine detail compared to the original.
