Cant watch downloaded PSVR content

I was able to download files and watch them on my PSVR and QuickTime Player on my mac. Now when I download a file I get an error message saying the file is incompatible.

Is anyone else having this issue?
Is there a solution available?

SLRTroller QuickTime Player doesn't support H.265 and AV1 codecs.
You can try using another media player or convert files to the supported H.264 codec.

Okay... I like the QuickTime Player because i can easily update or trim my videos if needed.

What is the easiest way to convert the files to the supported H.234 codec?

SLRTroller You can try online conversion tools or install an app for that. There isn't any particular service that we can recommend in this case.

Understood... Also, i cannot watch the new files in PSVR (RAD) any more. I will need to think of another way to download and watch videos. Maybe i will stick to streaming. Thanks anyway.

SLRTroller I suggest Shutter Encoder, it's free and has a MacOS version.
But transcoding a 4k+ video might be quite a heavy task for a home system.

Thank you for all your suggestions... let me explain what I am tryin to do:

I like to download videos and make clips for my favorite positions and sections, then watch and enjoy on my PSVR offline using the RAD application. I was doing this with quicktime play because it came free with my mac.

Download videos on SLR
Trim the videos into shorts with quicktime
Copy the trimmed shorts to a USB memory stick
Connect the stick to my PS
Power up my PSVR and Launch the RAD application
Watch and enjoy

Any suggestions on downloading files form SLR then trimming and playing them on my PSVR?

SLRTroller yeah, you can do all that with Shutter Encoder, just maybe not the way you are used to. But it does have a Trim tool "Cut without re-encoding".

You can then transcode just the trimmed parts instead of the entire video.

doublevr It seems you are still generating PSVR encodings for the old website, aka the website for which you blocked access like a month ago. Seems to be a waste of resources but I assume you have your reasons.

SchnuppiLilac old website got unsupportable. There was a deeper infrastructure change behind the redesign.

You can think of it as moving from garage to factory manufacturing in all the ways. Just got things future proof

Both website versions have coexisted for quite a while, but late 2025 login into the old website has been blocked. Still, it seems PSVR encodings (assuming these are what you are looking for) are actively generated for the old website until this day although no one can access them.
