Can you do AR AI in a downloaded video?

inzane90

I want to be able to watch higher quality videos compared to streaming option but still have AI AR features?

What should I be messing with in the settings of the deovr app?

adinihsan

inzane90 the AI PT does not work offline. Idk why we can’t just download the masks but yeah, you’re out of luck. If a scene is made for PT (green of other background) you can set the color to ‘ignore’ in DeoVR, Heresphere or Playa

That sucks I feel like you should be able to download AI PT video version ?

exzeth

We're all hoping for offline AI PT videos. Either an alpha channel for the file, or the player/app masking it in real time, although that doesn't exists atm; but would greatly increase the end user experience.

doublevr

exzeth rendered ptai files are on the way. Likely coming with pay per video plan to get it

adinihsan

doublevr sounds great, $7 pay barrier per vid to unlock miniscule file that is already there. We can download literal terabytes every month why lock the (AI) scripts and masks....

That's my thoughts anyway, I won't be paying per video ever.

inzane90

doublevr like the fact it coming, don't like it being charged for it. should be included.

I'm Kinda ok with pay per video to get the pasthrough file. Not many AI pasthroughs worth downloading. Otherwise I could see myself upgrading that as an addon to my lifetime (for the usual download rait limits). ... maybe.

exzeth

OkeDoke Not many AI pasthroughs worth downloading.

Agree. Of course it's going to costs a little extra, everything does at first. I don't mind because there's only a few that I would DL.

However, having the ability to turn my favorite videos from other places into PT AI (automatically) would be awesome. The Drive feature was ahead of it's time & is greatly missed.

AI PT download would be awesome. Completely fair for SLR to charge something for this - a lot of tech investment and incredible result

Hopefully drive V2 in the future 🙏
