I have a Windows Mixed Reality headset - the Samsung Odyssey. When I run the app I can't see the controllers or use them in any way- the HMD itself works fine but I can't select any of the videos. If I use the mouse click of my computer I found I can select a video by looking at it with the HMD and clicking with the mouse, but this is not a good setup. I also can't do any in video controls.
FYI, Windows MR uses SteamVR and the steam VR framework so the Vive support you already wrote should just work. Being that there are 5 different new Windows MR headsets, I'd imagine it's worth your time to get this compatibility going!
