Couple of questions regarding local playback on Hyper App (vision pro):
- Is there a reason why vids stored locally are limited to 1080p?
- Will we be able to play vids stored on shared drives on local network? Currently, I can link/select the shared drive via the app and can even see the folder on the local files hub but as soon as I select the folder (to view the vids stored on the drive), the app just freezes. One odd thing I did notice was after linking the folder, it is renamed to "aQslag(foldername)" on the hub. For me, it was renamed to "aQslagDownloads".
Also, just wanted to say - although y'all took a painfully long ass time, it's great to finally have a close to a fully working app on the vision pro. I say "close to" because without some improvements/fixes, I still prefer downloading files and viewing them in a standalone VR player and/or webSLR via safari.
Needed Hyper app improvements/fixes:
- Fast access to tilt/transform controls - this one setting I use multiple times even for just one scene, it doesn't make any sense I have to first click 'settings', then 'advanced', and then 'transform' to change the angle especially when the menu randomly disappears half the time and I have to start from scratch with 'settings'. Transform should on the main menu along with play, pause, AB etc.
- Recenter/angle+distance control for main SLR hub (half the hub is difficult to view without straining neck)
- Seek preview and chapters
- Fix menu randomly disappearing (this used to be really bad but it still happens regularly)
With these changes, I would happily swap to Hyper. In fact, I think Hyper could become the ultimate solution for VR content (at least on the vision pro - can't speak of others). Honestly never thought I would utter those words, y'all are so close!
