Yeah those are indeed 2 different things. People reported that the image itself is on par with the AVP, in the center even better, though it's important to get your eyes close to the screen and I'm sure we'll need an after market mod like I'm using with my AVP, to get the most (FoV) out of it. Also people say that the passthrough video is on par with the AVP, though a little more grainer where the AVP is a bit more smoothed out, but that's just an algo thing.
The thing that I found pretty insane to read is that the bootloader is unlocked!! This means that there's ultimate freedom on this thing, you can really do whatever you want with it. This is quite the contrast with the AVP where apple tries hard not to give you passthrough porn. So all in all, this 100% is the better porn headset. And really F*CK apple for them locking that device down so much. I really have a love/hate relationship with my AVP, I love it for the image quality but hate it for the fact that those idiots at apple didnt include an AV1 decoder and locked the headset completely. I honestly can't wait to switch!
