Downloading JAV content you purchased

I purchased a JAV title, but it won't let me download the video that I now own...

On the download page, it clearly stated "Once purchased, you can download the scene or stream it anytime on SLR - your videos stay in your account forever."

So, I bought the video, thinking I could download it... rightfully so. It said I would be able to.

Then I click the download button... There's a 2BG file and a 17GB file... However, both give me error messages when I click download (see screenshot at link below). I am just now reading that some people say you can't download purchased JAV videos because of DRM. If not, why even sell the video if you're unable to download it? And better yet, why even say "Once purchased, you can download the scene", when you clearly cannot download them? This is deceptive. A platform generating millions in revenue should be able to program a simple "Cannot download this specific content" disclaimer at the purchase page. It should be clear up front exactly what you're paying for.

It was only a couple bucks... I am not upset. And I don't want a refund. I am more annoyed than anything. It's the principal of the thing.

Asterion Hello, The video is a JAV (Japanese Adult Video) scene. Due to Japan’s strict legal regulations regarding the creation and distribution of adult content, the studio has chosen not to make these videos available for download.

In Japan, adult performers have the legal right to request the cessation of their content’s distribution in certain circumstances. To ensure compliance, producers and distributors must maintain strict control over the content. Allowing downloads would make it impossible to manage or prevent further distribution, which is why most JAV producers insist on streaming-only availability.

I don’t have an issue with that, as long as it’s clearly communicated upfront. However, the purchase page explicitly states that you CAN download it upon purchase, which could be considered misleading. I’m sure it’s just an oversight and not an intentional attempt to deceive, but it should definitely be corrected. Otherwise, many may assume the JAV titles can be unlocked for download upon purchase.

Here's an example from a studio that doesn't allow downloads:

How can you access the 4K Master then for these JAV Scenes?

As JAV can't be downloaded, there is no option to stream master files.
