I bought a 1 month subscription for SLR, and I'm simply just not happy. Doesn't work well on oculus go since the download speed freezes, the video just stops every 5 seconds. Htc vive doesn't work well either, and to be honest, I'm beginning to think that your resolution options are fake. The checked 720p-5k and a lot of videos look like they were recorded in 2k, but then just later re-rendered in 5k, with other works, they aren't 5k. Just overall not happy with this experience and I would like to take my money elsewhere, would a refund be possible?

Admin: Refund requests should be addressed to support@sexlikereal.com. I'm locking it down. As long as the service is functional there's no legit issue for a refund.

Keep in mind that is my 2th day, so a refund would be quite fair.

Hey.

I'm company CEO

It sounds like a very rare feedback. The service is functioning just fine and we have got best of the best content. Please try to make it work. I believe the product is delivered in full. Just cancel your sub.

    Hey doublevr ,
    Thanks for responding,
with all due respect it's my 2th or I guess it's the start of the 3th day. But my point is that if I'm already asking for a refund then I'm probably not going to enjoy the rest of the month. Additionally it's quite fair, it is not like I used my subscription for 29 days and on the last day am trying to get my money back, just to be a scum bag. This is my first time ever trying it out, and I didn't enjoy the service, and I don't see why it wouldn't be possible to refund me.

I would like to add that I wanted to find a trial subscription option on your site, but I couldn't find one. So I choose to try one month, even though I wasn't sure if SLR would have good enough service. As you probably now understand, that didn't go that well. So far I've heard that SLR usually gives out great customer service, and I would hope that it is still true. Hoping that we can still work this out, and personally I still would like a refund.

If you're trying to stream the videos, I'd suggest giving up on that idea and downloading them. You need to have a ridiculously good connection to stream 5K video. If your connection can't keep up then you'll experience constant buffering and perhaps poor visual quality.

The video quality definitely is what it is advertised to be.

Try downloading some videos and watching them locally. I literally tried streaming once when I first signed up, realized it wasn't going to work, and have been downloading videos ever since. It seems a shame for you to cancel your subscription when you haven't even had a chance to see any of the content!

defucilis Streaming is really easy. Most of the EU is 100+ Mbps fiber while we only need 20-30Mbps

          Gunnar420 it doesn't say 720p - 5k
Download the original files if you want the recording resolution.

            doublevr

Unfortunately, down in Australia a reliable 20-30Mbps for 40 minutes straight is harder to come by than you'd think haha :'c

            I don't know what's worse.
You thinking I don't know that,
Or you hiring some one who doesn't know that.
            😄

@Gunnar420 Just a heads up, I have no relationship and ties to the SLR folks. I'm just a satisfied customer for the last year and a half.

I'm not trying to sway your decision or the SLR teams decision in any way. Just want to give my honest experience.

I too have an Oculus Go but rarely do I experience slow down using SLR. It happens but not often. I would say once or twice a month but definitely not daily.

I live in the US and have 100mb cable internet. However Oculus Go caps speed at 22-25mb.

I use the app to stream.

Just curious, are you streaming from sexlikereal.com website?

The website has been choppy for me and not a smooth streaming experience.

You can try downloading the SLR app but it requires some additional steps which you may not want to do.

I suggest to please download the DeoVR player from the Go store. Open up the browser within DeoVr and go to sexlikereal.com.

You may (or may not) find playback faster, smoother, and the interface is more streamlined.

I hope you try that out if you haven't already and hopefully you have a much better experience!

keylox23 However Oculus Go caps speed at 22-25mb.

Oculus Go tends to switch to 2.4Ghz WiFi even though there is a 5Ghz available.
Could you check? When you 'click' the active wifi connection in the settings, it tells you which one it's on.

It also helps if your modem/router has MIMO
              The OGo has 2x2 MIMO

@Rakly3 actually Go doesn't have the ability to even connect to 5 GHz WiFi connection. At least I have been able to find a way to do it.

I can easily connect the 5Ghz signal with my other devices like phone, laptop, and PS4.

I about the speed cap a while back on this forum.

I'd be interested to hear your thoughts and input on it.

              Edit:

Oops nevermind. I see when I click on the network name, it does show that I am connected with a 5Ghz frequency.

I'm still interested to read your thoughts about the speed cap though.

Try changing the channel. And no, that's not a joke. 🙂
Snapdragon 835 even has 60Ghz (not enabled in OGo), and (2x2 5Ghz) MU-MIMO, that's 2 x 5Ghz streams if your modem supports it.
                Mine's on channel 44, band 80Mhz

Mind this could make it so other devices won't be able to connect to 5Ghz.
If you don't have the exact specs of all your devices it might take some trial & error to find a combination that works and doesn't have too much interference from other signals, ie neighbours' modem.

the OGo specs you can find here: https://www.qualcomm.com/products/snapdragon-835-mobile-platform

EDIT: I wrote all that before reading your whole post 🙂
About speed caps, you're not gonna download faster than what your storage is capable of. I don't know exactly what it is in the OGo.
Streaming however should be able to go faster until the memory buffer is full.

You're also not gonna get the full speed of the device specs, there's a lot of stuff going on, especially when you're downloading straight to (unbuffered) HDD's

I've never measured the download speed to the storage of an OGo, but I sure didn't feel like it was only 28Mbps. (Using local FTP server and OGo webbrowser.)

When you see download speeds constantly drop and then spike, drop again, etc. That's just your buffer filling up. faster than the data is being written away.
Or sometimes even your CPU not being able to keep up (ie Celeron, phone/tablet). Best to check Task Manager (ctrl+shift+esc) which one it is.

Or even when copying. I'm sure this is one many people have seen. At the start of copying it's going blazing fast, then drop off.
