Hello,
I am experiencing a significant and reproducible issue with the Passthrough AI feature in DeoVR when playing videos at a 120Hz refresh rate.
Problem Description:
When I enable the Passthrough AI on a video and set my Meta Quest 3 display to 120Hz, the AI mask fails to sync correctly with the video frames. It appears that the Passthrough AI is processing the video as if it were still at 60Hz, leading to a half-speed mask application.
This results in the following:
- The AI mask is only updated on every other video frame, causing a noticeable delay and a "stuttering" effect.
- The mask for a given frame is actually the one intended for the previous frame, creating a consistent visual lag.
- After the video has played through what would be its duration at 60Hz, the AI completely stops updating the mask. For the remainder of the video, a static mask is used because the AI has run out of frames to process.
This issue does not occur when the video is played at 60Hz. The Passthrough AI works perfectly fine and is synced correctly. The problem seems to be specifically related to the doubling of the refresh rate to 120Hz and the AI's inability to process the higher frame rate correctly.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Open the DeoVR application on the Meta Quest 3.
- Set the headset's refresh rate to 120Hz (either through the DeoVR settings or the Quest system settings).
- Load a video e.g. https://www.sexlikereal.com/scenes/24k-gold-11996 and enable the Passthrough AI feature.
- Observe the clear desynchronization between the video frames and the applied AI mask.
Expected Behavior:
The Passthrough AI should be able to properly sync with and process a 120Hz video stream, applying a correct mask for every frame(or use one mask for 2 frames).
System Information:
- Headset: Meta Quest 3
- Application: DeoVR
Thank you for your time and assistance.
