Q3 quit, any better options? Wait for Project moohan?

Hey guys, my q3 quit, got stuck in "locating place in room" or some such. Tried boot menu, sideload update, pushed update from meta site, same crap. Boot menu > factory reset > sideload update changed my issue to a blank screen 🤣

Meta support says its fk'd and offered a remand unit for $240usd.

That being said... kind of don't want to go back to a meta. Everything is locked and has to be side quest broken into, it keeps adding apps that can't be deleted, eating up my precious storage space that should be full of Charlotte Sartre and Rachel Starr scenes etc 🤣🤣

Are there any "better" (resolution, display, sharpness) stand alone headset options? I have a "gaming laptop" but idk that its powerful enough to run a headset, its an intel nuc 15? Literally the only thing I do with the Vr headset is DeoVR and SLR... so display is pretttty much all that matters i believe.

Of course I heard about samsung releasing their headset after Oct this year? And I do LOVE Samsung stuff.

Apple vision pro is out, 100% just because I hate apple, their phones, etc.

The Pico 4 Ultra is comparable to the Quest 3. You could have a look some reviews if you haven't already bought something else.

I would for sure wait and see what the koreans say about moohan, I believe it will be sold there first.
I think that the passthrough will be fantastic and the OLED screens. All of that os ofcourse if you want to spend the 1500-2000usd that it will probably cost, I think that I will myself but with european taxes i'm probably looking at 2500usd.
