Jeremy06 Hi Jeremy, I have a G2 and experienced much the same issues. It used to work great, but recently only sometimes it would work great and other times not at all.
I use FPSVR which lets one set supersampling for individual apps. I found that setting the resolution to 80% for deoVR made the problems go away. I don't think it even has a direct effect on playing video, it certainly doesn't seem to have reduced my playback quality that I can see.
Anyway, it may be worth your while to look into lowering the resolution for DeoVR, even temporarily lowering your resolution in general in SteamVR just to try it out.
