We’re working on improving website notifications — both how they look and how they work.

🔧 What we’re changing:
• A better notification center with tabs for Unread, Mentions, Updates, and All
• Clearer visuals so you can easily tell what the notification is about (scene, model or comment previews)
• Auto-deleting outdated alerts (e.g. cam shows that already ended or scenes you’ve seen)
• Better system for content preferences (VR/Flat/JAV/Compilations) — so you don’t get alerts you don’t care about
• Bringing notifications to App and WebXR

• Which notifications do you actually like or use?
Currently none. You guys turned it into a spam folder so there's countless notifications for every new scene, new script, even when a damn model goes online in the vr webcam section.
• Which ones feel too frequent or unnecessary?
New scenes I don't care about, models going online, new scripts for random scenes
• How else would you like to customise your notifications?
I shouldn't have to. I don't really touch my social media settings for notifications but these companies like FB or Youtube make sure that notifications stay pertinent so the user actually pays attention. I may get one or two notifications on FB per day, mostly telling me when someone replies to me. Just learn from that. Priority should be alerting me to a reply. Then remind me when a scene is out that I clicked on "remind me" for. Then maybe remind me when a human script appears for a scene you know I've downloaded. After that, you have to use your best judgement to be extremely careful how you curate notifications if you want users to pay any attention to them.

      I'd like to stop getting notifications I replied to my self.

      Example
      I leave a comment, some one reply to me, I get notifications I got a reply, now when I reply to the reply I get a notification I reply to my self.

      Also sometimes the reply notifications disappear before I can click on them, example say I have 5 reply notifications, I click one, it goes to the comment, now when I go back the 4 notification disappear. Sometimes I screen shot the notifications incase this happens, happens often? Somewhat. 🤷‍♂️

      That's the only issues I have with the notifications.

        Hi, this is a specific issue with notifications I've had after rejoining the service in June. Did not have it in 2024 and earlier that I recall.

        This is an issue on website (firefox, windows 10) . I don't check notifications while in VR so I'm not sure how it acts there.

        Issue: I get notifications from a lot of "Immersive flat" studios that I don't want - and actively try to block - even though:

        -I am not following the studios
        -I am not following any of the stars in the videos
        -I have selected "Hide all from Studio"
        -I have selected "Hide all" on the the "Immersive Flat" tag

        It seems the only notifications I get that I did not ask for, are from immersive flat studios. And I've gone out of my way to block those.

        Example studios:
        PornWorld
        Innocent Holes
        AdultTime
        Girlsway
        Vrpornnow Flat (or something)
        Busty Lover
        Angelo Godshack Original Studio Full VR Movies

        Off-topic rant:
        I do not want flat videos in my VR experience, I think it dilutes the experience and I feel it's wrong to allow for large scale uploading of immersive flat videos to SLR's library. If the immersive flat studios scale up their uploading rate (with their decades of content from regular flat shoots) we could be looking at 500k videos on SLR but 90% of them being "immersive flat" in a few years.

          • Which notifications do you actually like or use?

          a. All notifications about new videos from stars or studios i've favorited/followed.
          b. All notifications about videos being removed from the library soon. With big batches I'd prefer getting earlier notifications too (so I can download if it's many favs)

          • Which ones feel too frequent or unnecessary?

          Not really anything except the issue described in last reply. Personally I don't care about noficiations about trending videos, but many other prob like them

          • How else would you like to customise your notifications?

          On PC: As far as I know, once I've clicked to see the notifications, most of them disappear if I close the notification pop-up window. I don't like this and would prefer them being in a scrollable list (newest on top) so I don't miss them all if window closes. This + a button to "clear all" or something would be nice.

          • Anything missing you’d like to get notified about?

          Not really - option to subscribe/favorite/follow a category and get notified about all new releases with that tag maybe?
          Playlist management has been needing more work than notifications in my opinion, but it's still nice to see notifications being worked on

            forsen I think this is because notifications are turned on by default for studios you hide.. makes no sense but that’s how it works, go to the studio and check

              I am really glad you removed the script spam. That made the notification useless. I like it the way it is now. It;s good to see when my favorite models are up.

              Now I really wish you cold make my custom playlists easier to get to in VR. It is a major hassle to Click on My Library and then have to scroll past My Interactive, My Purchases, My Scripts, My Collection, History, My Subscriptions and then Watch Later in VR. One of the reasons I continue to sub to SLR is my personally curated playlists. It should be much easier to get to them in VR.

                It's very simple. Give us notifications for the studios and the performers that we've favourited, for 3D/VR only. You aren't a flat video site, so please stay in your lane. No more "what's trending" because we don't give a damn, and no more compilation notifications. Try to resist the urge to add unneeded functionality because the marketing team told you it'll increase views.

                Just keep it simple, and get on with it. You aren't designing a space shuttle here.

                  Personally, I miss the "new script" notifications, even though I would have liked not to be notified for some scripts (see an old topic of mine: https://forum.sexlikereal.com/d/8002/filter-script-notifications-with-the-user-hide-settings).

                  • Separate the concept of 'favorite' and 'notification'. I have plenty of favorite actresses that I don't want to be notified every time they are in something. I usually only want to be notified when they are starting (for example, Carolina Guerrero right now). I usually end up removing them from favorites after a while to stop the notifications, which is a bummer because you might have been able to suggest other actresses similar to my favorites if I didn't have to remove them from the list.

                  • Never send a notification if I hided a scene. For example, if I decide to hide 'flat movie' or 'soft porn', I should not get notifications for those scenes.

                  • Expand the concept of favorite/notification for scripters, ideally with a default 'all script notification' that could be turned off for specific scripters.
